The documentary, Atomic Cover-up, is getting wider distribution heading into the fall. I reported earlier that it won recognition at The International Uranium Film Festival in Rio and the Venice Shorts Festival in LA. The documentary is an incredible companion to Choosing Life: My father’s journey in film from Hollywood to Hiroshima, giving you the chance to see the very footage that haunted my father’s life.
Just recently, it has been accepted for five more film festivals this fall. They vary on dates, prices and locations (all with at least some online screenings) so check out the websites:
The Breck Film Festival in Breckenridge, CO will run from September 16-19, 2021 and will include some virtual options. The Oakland International Film Festival, now in 19th year, will be virtual only and run from September 16-25, 2021.
The Global Peace Film Festival will be open September 27-October 3 in Winter Park, FL. Tickets are already available for one live screening and several virtual ones.
One big venue will be the San Diego Int’l Film Festival running from October 14-24, 2021. This 20th anniversary festival will have multiple screening sites in San Diego and online options for ten days as well. And after that, Atomic Cover-up will be showing in November as part of the 41st Hawaii International Film Festival, with both virtual and in-person showings.
Hopefully, even more distribution openings will be announced in the coming months, but meanwhile check out these options to watch (or re-watch) this great piece of history come to life.
